A beautiful bungalow located in the harbourside village of Mudeford, ideally situated to explore the South Coast, from sailing and windsurfing at Christchurch Harbour to enjoy the sandy beaches of Gundimore and Friars Cliff or head to Avon beach which has dog-friendly areas all year round. Alternatively, why not catch the ferry over to nearby Hengistbury Head and enjoy the wonderful wildlife habitats on offer, a great day out for all. The New Forest National Park is within easy reach and boasts some wonderful walks and cycle routes, you may even spot some wild roaming horses whilst you are there. Bournemouth & Poole, further along, the coast, offers an array of attractions to include Europe’s largest natural harbour. You truly are spoiled for choice, with many wonderful places to visit here.

Enter this cottage into the bright and airy dining room where there is a lovely dining table and chairs ideal for the group to gather and enjoy each other’s company over dinner at the end of a busy day exploring the local area. The lounge sits beyond and is a cosy space with a TV and great to sit and relax. The well-equipped kitchen comes complete with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher with a washing machine in the utility room beyond, access to the rear enclosed garden can be found here. The main bedroom with a double bed benefits views over the pretty rear garden with twin beds in the second bedroom. The shower room with shower and WC completes this cottage.

The enclosed lawned garden, located at the back of the cottage, is a wonderful space to sit out and enjoy the climate of the south coast, enjoy some al fresco dining with the garden furniture and BBQ. There is also storage available for bikes. Off-road parking is available at the front of the cottage on the drive.

Area Details


Christchurch lies between the beautiful New Forest National Park and Bournemouth. Visit the area for the beaches which extend for four miles and are beautiful golden sand. The nearby villages of Highcliffe and Mudeford offer fantastic opportunities for crab fishing. Highcliffe Beach and Friars Cliffe are safe for swimming. The town has an array of shops in the pedestrianized Saxon square as well as a weekly market. Christchurch has a variety of cafes and pubs around the Quay, relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere. Christchurch plays host to the Food and Wine Festival in May and has over 100 stalls. Join the atmosphere of the Music Festival on the first weekend of July. Catch the Annual Regatta held on the second week of August which ends with a superb fireworks display.

Activities and Attraction

Take a boat to the vast Nature reserve of Brownsea Island owned by the National Trust. Try Watermans Adventure Park catering for different age groups. Or, for family fun then Christchurch Quay and Splash Park cater for all ages. Adventure Wonderland is a great park catering to younger children. We have visited several times and it always goes down well and we stay until closing! Christchurch and Highcliffe Castle are a must for history lovers with Highcliffe Castle having a cafe to relax in after your tour.
